Mahasagar is operated by BINDAL MEGA PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED, Vill. Aurangabad, Roorkee, Haridwar, Uttarakhand 249402, India. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your mobile number — it is how you sign in, and how we reach you about an order.
- Your name and delivery addresses — so an order can be delivered to you.
- Your email address, if you choose to add one — for your account and invoices.
- Your GST number and business name, if you add them — so your invoices carry them.
- Your orders and payments — the record of your business with us.
- Your location, only when you ask — if you tap “use my current location” while adding a delivery address, we use your device’s location once to fill in that address. We never read your location in the background, and the address screen works without it: you can type a pincode, search for a place, or drop a pin instead.
- Photos and files you choose to upload in the requirement box, when you show us what you need.
- Your searches and the products you view in the app — so “Recent searches” works and so we can understand what customers look for and stock the store better.
- Your product reviews — see below for who can read them.
- Your messages to our support team.
- Basic device information for the app: device type, app version, and a notification token if you allow notifications.
We do not collect your contacts, your card or UPI details, anything from other apps on your phone, or your location in the background.
Why we collect it
To take and deliver your orders, to collect payment, to send you order updates, to answer your support questions, to improve what the store stocks and shows, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Who else sees it
- Our delivery executive sees your name, address and phone number for the order being delivered to you — nothing more.
- Our payment gateway (Razorpay) processes card/UPI payments. We never see or store your card number or UPI PIN.
- Our SMS provider delivers your OTP and order updates.
- Other customers can see your product reviews, including the name on your account, once our team approves them. Reviews are never shown before approval, and you choose whether to write one.
- OpenStreetMap, a mapping service, receives the map area you are viewing when the address map loads, and the location you search or select while filling an address — that is how the map and address search work. It does not receive your name or phone number.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we use them for order updates only. You can turn them off at any time in your phone’s settings, and the app keeps working.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept as long as tax law requires. Everything else is deleted when you delete your account.
Deleting your account
Open the app, go to Account → Delete account. Your profile, addresses, searches and saved data are removed and every session is signed out. Completed invoices are retained where the law requires it, without your contact details being used for anything further.

Children
Mahasagar is not intended for children under 18.
Changes
We publish a new version of this policy rather than editing this one, so you can always see what was in force and when.
